Akrowa Drumming and Dancing

Last Year we had the wonderful opportunity of having Akrowa lead a session on African drumming and dancing styles. Originally from Ghana, Akrowa operates in the UK and provides an excellent, educational, and most importantly, fun introduction to West African Drumming. They involved everyone of all ages, from toddlers to adults, participants couldn’t help but join in and dance.

They helped teach that music is more than just listening, but is rather a whole body experience, and even a whole community experience. Music and charisma like this brings people together, and everyone came away smiling. Check out some of the highlights below:
