Transition to Confidence (TTC)
Last February we held a workshop called Transition to Confidence, aimed at improving confidence in kids and young adults. It was loads of fun and the kids had a chance to develop understandings of who they are, rather than who others want them to be.
The primary goal was for learners to value themselves for who they are, and strive to make decisions and plan for their own future.
Key concepts were: Confidence, Pride, and understanding peer pressure.
We think it went rather well, but let us hear what the kids had to say:
We believe in the important impact that community music can make on participants’ mental health, sense of self, and sense of belonging.
While many of our projects are musical in nature, we’re always looking for new ways to reach out and build up our community, like developmental workshops, or simply sitting down together for a good chat and tea.
